im thinking about getting a cat, i already have one thats kinda pertective but hes fat and doenst like to move alot. if i keep his food and water and liter in my room away from my other cats (his is in the basement) do you think that this could work out? without them fighting all the time?

My cat, who is also my baby and has been my little baby ever since he was born. He keeps attacking one of my other cats and leaving wounds on her. I love my cat a lot and he wont stop hurting her. How do i keep him from attacking her without getting rid of either of then or hurting him?

What is a good designer name for a girl cat? I was thinking about something like armani or gucci or something like that.please dont just say random designers, say something that sounds good plz....

That's honestly what I take the most pictures of. My cat eating, sleeping and playing. Point and shoots are too slow to get good cat pictures.

Does anyone know cute, nice, playful and small cat breeds? lol I might get a persian cat but my only problem with them is their poop gets stuck to their butt. or i might get a tabby but those are like the only breeds ik so does anyone know good cat breeds? thanks!

On march 29th the human society in my area is having a microchip fare and an adoption day. I was going to bring my cat over there to get microchipped and to pick out a new friend. Should I get another female or a male? I also would like to find one who will ruff her up.... my cat is to prissy and mean. She needs to learn that there are bigger meaner things out there.... so any specific breed or age?

I really want to adopt a kitten. I have already found some very cute ones that I like. I don't think I will get those exact ones unless I act quick. The only problem is that my mom won't let me. i adopted a cat on12/22 the cat only hides and does not come out of hidding when there is people around it does eat and go the bathroom i found one hiding space of the cat nowit is hiding where it can not be found is this comon and how long for it to get yoused to the surounings

My life seems to have always revolved around cats. Sounds funny I know, but I seem to relate to them. I've dedicated my life to helping them too. The county I live in doesn't have a humane society, and not much of an animal shelter. Dogs seem to be very popular here, but cats are not. Many cats in my area are homeless and most people I know will just shoot them or poison them. I want badly to start a cat rescue, but have no idea how to start one. Hi, I love animals very much and especially cats. I can't stand abuse of animals and I have found so many people that don't like cats. I currently take care of my elderly father, but I would like to one day buy a small piece of land so that I can rescue cats and care for them. I would love ideas on how to get this accomplished and how to seek some aide like from vets to get the cats spayed so they don't have more kittens and also some help on food and cat litter supplies etc.

We got Sophie about 3 months ago from a cat rescue centre and she's just over a year old now. Last week we took in a 2 year old Norwegian Forest female from a friend, whose 3 other cats (one of which was a sibling) constantly attacked and bullied her. Our cat just won't leave the new cat alone! She used to be loving, friendly and totally cute but now she's just a little horror. We feel so sorry for the new arrival - she's had such a bum deal so far and she spends most of her time hiding from Sophie. The only time she'll come out and play/eat/use the litter tray/etc is when Sophie's outdoors or in another room. I know it's still very early days, but my question is this: is there a way that we can get the two cats to accept each other more quickly. I've heard the one about rubbing the new cat in Sophie's bedding, but that's not made the slightest difference. Any idea and suggestions would be very welcome. Incidentally, they have both been spayed...

I think the cat might have been sick or something because it lost patches of fur. I forgot to wash my hands after and then i pet my cat. I didnt touch either my house cat or the stray cat's saliva, so i don't think i can give my cat rabies. But can other diseases be transfered by touch? this was only a few days ago, and my cat isn't showing symptoms. if i take him to the vet then what can he do?

I had just bought a kitten(Abyssinian). She is only 6 months old and she started hissing and growling at us. The breeder said it would stop in about 2 days of having him. But is this normal? Also my other Abyssinian is hissing at her but is settling down. How long will this last. My female cat decides that she likes to pee on the couches. It seems as if she only does it when my mom comes home from being away for an extended period of time, this time about 4 days. Its not the couches since we have already had to replace them. We are thinking that we might need to get rid of the cat. Does anyone know why she does this and how we can get her to stop...oh and cat training spray does not work.

I have an 8 month old pure bred Bangle cat. The problem is she will not stop peeing on one spot on the dinning room rug. I have tried every punishment I have read about and it does no good. Any suggestions on how to get her to stop short of KILLING her. I am ready to glue her business end shut. HELP!! I have also tried a new rug in the dinning room and she still goes to the same spot. It is beginning to ruin the hardwood floor under the rug.
