cat rescue?
My life seems to have always revolved around cats. Sounds funny I know, but I seem to relate to them. I've dedicated my life to helping them too. The county I live in doesn't have a humane society, and not much of an animal shelter. Dogs seem to be very popular here, but cats are not. Many cats in my area are homeless and most people I know will just shoot them or poison them. I want badly to start a cat rescue, but have no idea how to start one. Does anyone have any advice or know how I can find out? ANYTHING BAD YOU SAY ABOUT CATS I'LL REPORT YOU! Thanks :)

2. I don't know how to start one but I can tell you that Walmart donates all their damaged pet food to my local Humane Society and there is another rescue here that Eukanuba gives them all their food for free (Just call the number on the bag)

4. Well, you can start by privately rescuing these cats and keeping them in your home as long as you don't violate any laws in your town on the number of pets you can have. You will of course have to have them vaccinated and spayed/neutered before letting them be around each other as to not let them mate or transmit any diseases. Also, you can get a non profit license, this is something a Veterinary hospital usually asks for before they will give you any type of discount for medical treatments for the cats. Then you can start asking others to foster these cats for you until you can find homes for them, advertise on Craigslist.com or your local newspaper. Always charge an adoption fee and make the new owner sigh an adoption contract. Good luck, feel free to contact me if you have any other questions.
