What cat breeds/coat colours are LESS preferentially adopted?
Would these ones be in shelters in higher numbers than the more "popular" breeds or coat colours? So it would make sense to adopt the ones that other people for some reason don't adopt as much?

1. Pure black cats are less adoptable especially short haired ones.
2. i'm not to sure about in shelters them being the most 'unpopular' to adopt, but when my boyfriends mum's cat has kittens, she always finds it hard to sell the black kittens. they are tabbies and everytime she has a black kitten his mum finds it hard too sell them!
hope this helps!
3. I volunteer in animal rescue and black cats and kittens are hard to adopt.
That is why I have two running throughout the apartment. They are cute and fun but like all kittens very destructive.
I Deck the Halls so they may wreck the halls.
4. I adopted a black cat at the Humane Society a couple of months ago and a lady there said that it is harder for black cats to get adopted.
Also, just last month on Friday the 13th they were having a special discount to adopt animals with black in their coat.
