What kind of dog and cat breeds would you find at an animal shelter or would be strays?
A nice list of the breeds would be very helpful. Thanxs in advance!

1. Any type really... There isn't a list of dogs they accept in a shelter its any lost dog or a dog who cant be looked after anymore . If you want to find out , then how about going down to your SPCA and looking yourself?2. Shelters get in all sorts of dogs and cats, any breed and all different colours, shapes and sizes :) A good chunk of them would be mixed breeds, but they would also get in quite a few pure breeds. Of course there is nothing wrong with mixed breeds ;) All my dogs are. If you are planning on getting a dog, you just have to go down to the shelter and see all the dogs and see which one you fall in love with.

3. You'll find mutts mainly but Labs and black cats are the common ones. Pit bulls too. But a large majority are mutts mixed with black lab. Just check petfinder. You'll see.
