1. The Russian Blue is the best cat breed ever!!
2. Petsmart only places rescues. If you want a pedigreed cat then do your search and buy from a professional breeder. Ragdolls are lovely cats. I prefer the Siberian. Extremely intelligent intensely loyal dog like and hypo-allergenic.
Another popular breed is the Persian.
3. 1. persion
2.ragdoll
3.manx
4.bengal
5. main coon
these are nice long haired cats
try getting a white cat
4. I have a main coon and this type of cat are very friendly and lovable. They have a great personality. I will never have another type of cat.
5. I have a Cornish Rex and they are fantastic. They don't shed, they are very smart and affectionate. In short, they are a dog in a cat suit - all the good traits of a dog with the low maintenance of cats. By far, they are the best! BTW, I acquired mine from a rescue - they are a bit expensive to buy.
6. Purebred cats do end up in rescues, I found one of my Scottish Folds at my local SPCA. And I saw lots of them when I used to do volunteer work.
If you're willing to wait it is possible for you to get a purebred cat from Petsmart.
the most common breed that end up there are;
Persian
Himalayan
Siamese
you can also find Bengals, Rex, Birman, Ragdoll, etc.
So depending on what you like in a cat, go with the breed that fits your need the best.
And also you can find some absolutely gorgeous and very affectionate mixes of these breeds too.
7. I'm fond of my 2 Domestic Shorthairs!
Gray tabby by the way.
8. Maine Coons are great! They're a larger breed, so they're heartier animals; less delicate, but still tons of fun.
My MC is five years old, and he is like a big teddy bear! Very pleasant and playful.
Petsmart, as pointed out by another person, just has cats who need to be adopted. Trust your gut; look into their eyes. Which of them is most resonsive to your voice, or your touch?
9. I love Maine coons too. I looked them up on line (guilty pleasure... all my fur babies are mutt rescue cats) and some sites suggested that a Maine coon mix is best. I think anything TOO purebred is more likely to have strange issues. What joy... have fun deciding!
10. My favorite cat breed is the American Shorthair. I have an American Shorthair. He is the best! To find out your favorite breed go to the website Cat Fanciers Association.
