Weird Cat adoption replies.?
I decided to put my cat up for adoption on Petfinder.com because it seemed like a reputable site. Suddenly, my inbox is flooded with people that are "interested" in my cat. The problem is, their messages are not relevant to my ad , almost as if they have put their message through an english language translator, and most of their e-mail addresses show they are from the UK. Something seems fishy to me about this, and I want to know if any of you had this problem?

1. Ya, this happens a lot with internet sites where you put in your personal email. People are just harvesting your email, and selling it to companies.
I would disable your email on the add, and put in the add that only phone calls are accepted.
2. I would try Craiglist or Freecycle - these are local sites and you may have more luck.
3. you shouldn't use the internet. There are a lot of people who will take your cat. I am sure that if you put a paper up in a local store with your phone number on it, there will be someone who will take it. :) I think you should just go local that would probably be best.
4. im looking to adopt a cat to be friends with my 5 year old siamese and my 4 year old son, what kind of cat do you have and can you call or email me about it?
