where can i take my cat for adoption i really dont want to get rid of her but i have no choice.?
my mother is really sick and the cat hair is just not helping it i just need an answer before i get rid of her thanks

6. Yes, the Humane society...or any other "no kill" shelter. She will have a better chance of getting another good home there. DO NOT TAKE TO ANIMAL CONTROL. They kill them there after a while, or if they are too old or disabled.
7. Sometimes vet offices take cats in. Or put an ad in the paper
8. Look in the yellow papers under Animal Shelters. Also it would help if you post some signs at the local pet shop or Vets clinic. Make sure your cat goes into a good loving family.
9. see if you have a friend who likes cats. give the cat to him/her. you will still be able to visit your pet
10. i would try if you are in the usa take her to a no kill animal shelter seen them on tv but cant remember the name of them. think it is called north shore animal league.
11. put it on freecycle on yahoo! groups it will find a home and you can keep in touch with the person who got it
12. I am sorry you have to get rid of your cat, hopefully you can find an alternative, but if not... Find out where the nearest no-kill shelter is and take her there. At least she will have a place to stay that will not kill her if she is not adopted rapidly.
