Desperate. Need help for cat adoption?

Can anyone provide me with information on the name of a shelter that will take my cat for adoption in Central New Jersey. I recently got married and moved into my husbands apartment where we cannot have a pet. I am horribly sad and I dont have any friends that are willing to take her! Thanks so much for your help at this really difficult time!!

1. try www.petfinder.com you can place an add on there for someone to adopt her. I would not take her to a shelter because most shelters are kill shelters and the kitty won't even have a chance of getting a new home

2. Try Animals In Distress. Can't help you find one, but if you check with a few veterinarians you should be able to find someone close to you.

3. I know this may not be much help, but I would highly recommend, as others have said, listing him or her on PetFinder. I just adopted a beautiful little kitten from a Cat Sanctuary after I saw him on PetFinder.

Without that wonderful site, I would've never found him. Maybe someone will be looking for a cat just like yours on PetFinder.

If not that, consider taking him/her to a no kill shelter or a cat sanctuary. Perhaps finding a relative to take him could be an option, too.

This is a hard decision not made easier by the fact that there are so many unwanted pets in the world. My heart goes out to both you and your cat, and I hope you both find happiness.

4. You may also want to check with your vet. Sometimes people go thru their vet to find a pet. The vet may have someone waiting on a pet just like your kitty. Good luck!

5. I would move to a place that allowed them, to me a pet is forever, period. I know it's easier said than done but bears thinking about.
