1. any animal shelter

2. animal shelter

3. Take her to a local no kill animal shelter and just say that the cat was a stray and they will take it.

4. North Shore Animal League

5. animal shelter. or put an ad on craigslist.com or maybe put up so flyers around town or in the newspaper? If you personally give away the cat then you are assured that it is going to a home.. if you put it in the animal shelter you really dont know what will happen :(

6. There is probably something called Animal Aid, or a name close to that. They will assist you in finding a good home for your stray kitty. Or call a couple of the Vets and let them know what you are trying to do. Sometimes some of the Veterinarians take small animals until a home can be found for them. And thank you for doing this. Your stray cat would probably have died in the winter weather without your caring for her.

7. Look in the phone book for a no kill shelter to take her to. You can call local vets and ask them for numbers to local rescue operations and no kill shelters. Also, you can look on the net to find local shelters and rescue operations. Good luck.

8. How about putting notices on local bullitin boards. Surely there is a shelter somewhere. How about the ASPCA branch near you. If you give it to a city owned impound - they will keep it for a week or so and then murder it.

Canvass your neighbor hood, perhaps some older person would like a warm furry companion.

Be a little persistant and you can find a nice home for it.

9. You can try to find her a new home yourself, by placing an add in a newspaper, putting her on petfinder through a cat rescue organization, or by spreading the news that you have a cat to rehome by word of mouth.
Or, if you don't want to try it yourself, you can give her up to an animal shelter...though I would look for a no-kill one or some sort of cat rescue, which will ensure she is matched with a good home for her and not euthanized.

Good luck finding a good new home for your cat!

10. Bella, you can take the cat to the SPCA. They have a web site online-- http://www.spca.com/ . See where there is 1 in your area. Also, try and do a web search online because I did that when I was looking for a kitten and I found there are so many pet adoption places. There is also a place called "Heart" and "The 10 lives club." But I live in Buffalo, NY so I don't know if those places are nationwide or just local. Go on google, type in the city you live in and the term "pet adoption." When you find a place, just tell them she has been wandering around your home lately and that you have been feeding her, and that you would love to adopt her, you already have more than enough animals. Tell them you just want her/him to be ok and find a good home. That is the right thing to do. You are such a considerate person, the world needs more people like you!
