I volunteer for a cat connection adoption agency, and I wanted to know can I deduct anything in my 2009 taxes?

I donate money to ASPCA, The Humane Society and I also donate to the shelter I actually volunteer for, I also spend money on food every week for the cats. Thanks

1. If you itemize your deductions (usually because you have a large mortgage) you can include mileage and certain donations. If you do not itemize, there will be no tax benefit.
