What to do when giving a cat to adoption?

I recently saved 2 kittens and now i'm giving them for adoption. I'm worried for them to end up in bad hands since there's so many psychos around. What do you recommend me to do? I was thinking to make kinda contract and take there information from ID. Or maybe charge $25, but is that too much? I don't need money, I just want them to have a good life.
I'm in Florida, USA.
There's over 100 cats in a shelter. They don't get adopted easily!

1. are you in the uk by any chance?

2. Do you have a humane society in your area that you can take them to? Kittens are easily adoptable. Your local humane society will make sure they get all their shots and will have potential "parents" fill out applications and charge a minimal fee.

3. I think you are one of the few to get it right. Either look at their driver's license and explain why you want to see it or once they pick the kitten tell them you want to deliver it to their house
\ Best of luck

4. Well, I wouldn't sell them for much. $25 sounds pretty reasonable. The shelter where I got my kitten charges 40$ then when you spay/neuter your cat you get 35$ back.

If someone is interested in one of your kittens or both, make sure they know how to take care of a cat first. Make sure they have ALL THE SUPPLIES before they get the kitten(s). Also make sure they are going to spay/neuter the kittens [that is if they aren't spayed/neutered yet.] And make sure they are going to give the kitten(s) shots.

5. Hey! Good job in saving the kittens! This is what you should do:
Meet the people interested in adopting them, at their own home. Look around and make sure that the house is clean. Also, If they fight/yell a lot in their home, that can tell a lot about a person. They might get angry at the kitten for clawing/peeing.... you never know.

I don't think you should charge them, (but DO make sure they can financially support the kittens.)

Tell them that after you adopt them, you would like to stop by once and check on the kitten.... Maybe 2 weeks after? Don't tell them exactly when, just say, "Whenever I am in the neighborhood, I'd like to stop by once to check on them." If these people are really cool, they won't have an issue with it. If they don't like the idea, it would be a red-flag for me.

ALSO- If possible, try to adopt them together. They are just babies, and will be scared alone. In the Craigslist ad (or wherever you put it), mention that you would prefer to adopt them together as they are BFF's (or siblings.) I'm sure you will find someone!

Good luck!!
