Are there any cat breeds that fit this description?
I'm a cat person but I tend to want the personality of a dog.
I want a cat that's friendly, cuddly and always wanting to be held or around me. But I also want it to be playful, active and wanting to go everywhere with me. A bonus would be if it would enjoy swimming or being in water (but that's pretty unlikely, lol!)
Appearance doesn't matter. C: I just want to see if there's a breed of cat that fits the personality description I want.

1. A maine coon is your best friend! They typically like water, and mine followed me everywhere, they're on the bigger side of the cat pool, and they've got long fur, but they're great! they're typically very playful!
2. A maine coon!
They are pretty independent but are pretty lazy, and each cat is different! These could not fit you better, I have four Maine Coons! I love them! They live around 20 years, too!
3. A Ragamuffin

5. I would want you to know that any cat that has been lovingly handled as a kitten is going to be affectionate, cuddly and playful. However, Maine Coon cats are loving and affectionate, and Abyssinians are wonderful cats....super friendly, inquisitive, playful, always wanting to be held and cuddled. They're expensive. I think you could go to any shelter and they'd help you find a forever friend that fits the traits you've described, and I hate to think of all the cats/dogs that get put down every single day because people would rather own a purebred. I've always owned rescues and I love them dearly. Some of them have been wonderful and some just okay, but they all have a place in my heart and home, and were lovingly taken care of all their lives. Good luck!
6. Main coon! They are very good cats and put up with a lot of stuff, and some even enjoy swimming!:D
7. You might also consider a Bengal. Many of them love water, and love playing in the bathtub or sink when water is running. They're descended from the Asian Leopard Cat, which swims and fishes in addition to hunting small land animals. More info: http://www.bengalcat.com/aboutbengals/bengal.php
8. try www.petfinder.com or your local shelter. Ask your shelter to contact you when they get a cat that suits your lifestyle. There are also breed rescues. How to find a good breeder-http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/findingbreed…
