I would like to buy one cat. Can somebody suggest me website where I can find pictures of cat breeds?
I heard that there are many cat breeds. The website with different cat classes would be very helpful to make a decision. Thanks!

1. Get a cat at a shelter. You won't pay out big bucks, and you will get all the unconditional love for less money. I am providing a link on selecting a great shelter cat.
Go to a shelter or other place where cats are available for adoption, and see if one makes an impression. It could be a meow, a reaching with a paw, a special look. Something that attracts your attention.
Yes, there are many breeds, and many have a very high price tag, and if you don't know a lot about the breeder, you may get a cat that will have genetic problems. But unlike dogs, most cats come in one basic size.
2. You could view different breeds at www.cfa.org (cat fancier's website).
That said, the VAST majority of cats in this country are "mixed/domestics". If you are considering a cat, you should at least visit your local shelters to see what cats they have available. They will likely be much cheaper. Also, you will likely be saving a life (cats entering a shelter have less than a 20% chance (on average) of being adopted (and not put to sleep for no reason)--at least see what your local shelters have to offer.
3. Why don't you go check out the local shelter first. There are always lots of cats and kittens of all ages and types at shelters that make great companions. The next thing would be to find a cat show in your area, then you can go watch and talk to breeders about the types of cats and their personallities etc. Also animal planet has replays of Cats 101 on line that are full of information.
