Where can I adopt a cat in NYC with low to none adoption fee?
Me and my mom want to adopt a cat but what we've seen so far was an adoption fee up to $100. I mean, seriously. I want to give a cat a home, not pay for what the shelter needs.

1. Your best bet is to adopt rescued animals, there are many groups around the city that volunteer to rescue animals and take care of them until they can find them a home. There is one guy I see that sets up a display for adoptions in front of Barnes and Noble at 82 st and Broadway Manhattan, he was featured on Animal planet, You can probably catch him mostly on weekends but sometimes he does it on weekdays, Also there is another rescue group with an adoption display either inside or front of Petco on 92st and Broadway, mostly on weekends too. The fees are fairly low. Beautiful cats on both displays so I think you'll see one you'll like.
2. just take one off the street
