What do you think of my Street Cat Rescue Website?
I've set up a new website aimed at rescuing the strays in my neighborhood. Its got live streaming video of the kitties. I'm getting a bit down cause the page view numbers are going down everyday. Please let me know if you think its just a matter of time or just a waste of time. Its at http://www.kittiesinthehood.com
BTW its the kitty hip hop 1/2 hour at the moment!

1. I'm not a fan of websites that push video at you on the main page. It's also a barrier for folks with slower internet connections. Finally, .wmv doesn't always work well as a video format for people on platforms other than windows-based machines.2. I don't usually go to links offered here, but i happen to be an animal lover,activist and rescuer.
I'm a bit confused however by your text here. Page numbers are going down,,,, Does that mean you judge your efforts against who views the page,,,, or is it more important to be ONE person, undertaking a nearly insurmountable task, because it's the right thing to do?
If you've made the commitment,, I applaud you. If you choose to believe it's a waste of time, due to responses, then perhaps you need to find another cause to support.

3. That is a super cute site! And helps kitties find a new home.
The only thing I'd change is making the plea to find them a new home more sad. People tend to save cats from the street more if they feel sorry for them. It's sad but true.

Hey, you're doing a service, a good one.
Now,I am going to try and help,my mom is in a bunch of groups, all of them love cats.
I am going to have her mention you on the groups, let me see if we can't make you feel better, because what you are doing is WONDERFUL.
My mom suggests going to Yahoo Groups about cats, and telling them about what your doing, and about your site, I am sure all of the cat lovers will stop by to see.

6. I like it, but I'd put the video on a different page so it won't slow anyone who's using an older computer. If I were still on an old, slow, stupid computer, I'd hate for the first page of a site to stop me before I could read the rest of the information! It's great that you're doing something for those cats. I've done a lot of rescue work for feral cats in the past, and it's very rewarding. Don't let the page views get you down. The cats need and appreciate everything you do for them, and many people appreciate the fact that you're spending time to do it.

8. I think your Cat Rescue site is great. You are doing a wonderful service for the cats in your neighborhood. Keep promoting it, I'm sure that it will catch on more. I myself am hooked already!
